Had a new clutch fitted to my 2012 1090RR last week at the 90000km service.
So just in case anyone else has a dragging clutch that all the usual "fixes" doesn't fix.
Symptons, intermittent dragging - it would do up to 9km/h in 1st with the clutch pulled in sometimes! Other times it appeared to work fine. Been getting worse for the last 20000km, finally got fed up and asked the mechanic to pull it apart and find out what was going on.
Turns out the metal plates were worn/lost coating. Friction plates were ok.
Complete new set of friction and metal plates put in, all ok now. He manged to find a suitable clutch kit from someone other than MV and saved rather a lot of money too
