Had a new clutch fitted to my 2012 1090RR last week at the 90000km service.
So just in case anyone else has a dragging clutch that all the usual "fixes" doesn't fix.

Symptons, intermittent dragging - it would do up to 9km/h in 1st with the clutch pulled in sometimes! Other times it appeared to work fine. Been getting worse for the last 20000km, finally got fed up and asked the mechanic to pull it apart and find out what was going on.

Turns out the metal plates were worn/lost coating. Friction plates were ok.
Complete new set of friction and metal plates put in, all ok now. He manged to find a suitable clutch kit from someone other than MV and saved rather a lot of money too :)

Got to get to work somehow so might as well be on the bike :grin2: and I hope to get way more than 100 out of this one Donsy ! Totals km on MVs since 2004 is now over 220,000 across the three bikes.
New tyres soon, some more Michelin Road 4s, might manage 30K from the current set though the handling is suffering since 25000 as they start to go a bit square on the back and just plain weird on the front :ahhh:
