Put it on a rear wheel stand. Rotate the wheel and check the chain for tight spots or kinks. Feel the wheel for roughness in the bearings. Run the bike in gear, possibly while dragging the rear brake, to listen for a source of the sound.
Only in 1st and 2nd gear ?? Or you just can’t hear it in higher gears because of wind noise ?

Hi, yes it is heard only while accelerating in first or second gear. Its not from the engine since there is no noice when the bike is throttled while in neutral. You are right, it has to be from the sprockets or chain, Shall do what you asked and get back to you today.

 

While doing that, also check to see if anything has gotten pulled in behind your sprocket cover—of course, when NOT in motion. Slim chance but rule it out.

 

Maybe a bit of the chain guide jammed in the sprocket area. Check for missing parts. Your front sprocket might be loose is another possibility.
