So the next time a japanese brand fan boy tells you you should have bought Japanese for reliability because you had to do a minor repair on your MV remind him of this LOW point in Hondas history AND the THOUSANDS of Yamaha R1 that have blow engines and transmissions .
Japan hasnt made list for the best superbike since 2007... 13 years ago. Now the Japanese fan boys are looking for any reason to put down any EURO Superbike. ALL manufactures make a bad bike eventually but the Japanese motorcycle is not the best and hasnt been the best for over a decade

FYI i have a Superbike collection and own or have owned ALL brands of superbike Japanese and euro. MV AGUSTA IS MY FAVORITE BRAND . The are top tier quality and refined, evolved the F4 line to an amazing level.

No i just made it up... JUST GOOGLE 2020 HONDA CBR 1000RRR-R recalled for bad connecting rods ... THERE ARE 6-7? Articles on the situation...I have Japanese Superbikes . Point is I am NOT a fan boy and realise that japanese motorcycles have been SUPASSED by the Europan brand Superbikes for 13 YEARS NOW..... The moto media do not even test the Japanese with the Euro models because ALL the japanese brands are not even in the same leauge as the Euro Superbikes and its looks BAD for the Japanese brands .. Moto Media still likes the Japanese advertising money lol

Glenno it was the 2009 BMW s1000RR then the Aprilia RSV4 back and forth for years . The R1 had mass reliaabilty issues and just fell short in power. The GIXXER never won hell it never changed for 6 years and was heavy lacked power cheap components ect Honda had last gasp in 2017 lightening old model base but it fell short ... Kawasaki ZX10 best japanese model but also ran against euro models . Last couple of years electronics became a big factor so its been BMW Ducati Aprilia . BTW 44 teeth rated the R1 LAST and the CBR1000RR 2nd to LAST

The F4 as we all know has been tweeked for 20 years and the more you work an engine to its utmost limits... Traction control , wheelie control ect ect becomes WAY WAY harder to apply The F4 RR/RC is like a true race engine ... Personally i love that about the F4 but its what us old guys are used to lol

FIG sorry just tired of fan boys who have owned 1 sportbike (usually used gixxer ) and know EVERYTHING about motorcycles .
Glenno... I live in USA but get UK magazines ALSO when you mention 44teeth... THEY SAID EURO BRANDS HAVE SURPASSED THE JAPANESE FOR YEARS .
Glenno what do you think of the CON ROD FAILURES IN THE NEW HONDA CBR 1000RRR OR IS IT A MYTH? CONSPIRACY?

Glenno 1st generation models you can excuse niggling problems like computer glitches NOT ENGINES BLOWING UP FROM SNAPPED CON RODS .!! Glenno the japanese DO NOT make the best performing motorcycles and are NOT The most reliable either. Even japanese cars reliability has gone down hill. Glenno ... what Superbike has been winning all the comparisons this YEAR?

FIG in 2016 i was going to buy a Yamaha R1 for my collection. I do like the MotoGP look of the bike . BTW Yamaha is by far the most innovative of the japaese brands. Yamaha came with almost every japanese advance before anyother japanese brand . Aluminum box section chassis ect ect ..... BUT EVERY Yamaha Dealer had new R1s with engines out transmissions out.. They all Looked like 2015/2016 Yamaha R1 salvage yards. Yamaha was just giving people full refunds after 2nd engine failure/ trans failure. Mechanic friends said weak engine design . The R1 still has more engine failures in racing than other brands. MUCH better than before but not like the Bullit proof Aprilia rsv4

Fig no Motorcycle engines are the best n the world due to the advent of trackday popularity. They are expected to never have a problem under race conditions so you can ride the bike home if you wish . They are expected to be able to due 200k+ miles and never burn oil . THATS WHY THEY COST SO MUCH> We are actually buying an F1 engine . MV puts the top end of engine together at 274 degrees below 0. The CBR1000RRR has fallen short of ungodly expectations ... I know of an 1000cc Aprilia a family used JUST for track days 5 in family would pass on bike after each session so the bike raced ALL WEEKEND LONG NO REST .... They where looking to sell the bike to upgrade to a Aprilia RSV4. The Aprilia 1000cc V-twin ran like new after 34,000 milles of continuous red line racing on track . The bike NEVER was on the street. Only thing they did to engine was adjust the valves and change the fluids .. THERE INST A PRODUCTION CAR IN THE WORLD THAT CAN DO THAT . If it wasnt for trackdays honda would never snapped con rods or yamaha blown engines

The Cagiva group (Ducati MV Agusta Cagiva ) started sponsoring track days stating they made the best engines in the world . Any manufacture that didnt follow suit looked inferior so they all upped there game. The high tech competition started and is still on today . 2008 markets crashed , Japan halted R&D the Euro manufactures increased R&D and surpassed the japanese.

I am not changing my claim ... Ever since the BMW S1000RR came out in 2008 ( i actually thought it was 2009 but i read 2008? early release in europe ) Anyhow After the BMW s1000RR then the Aprilia RSV4 The Superbike shootouts/comparisons have been won by a Euro Superbike. (major publications I am sure you can find some guy making a pamphlet out of his basement saying the GSXR has won every year lol) I am not saying the japanese make junk. They make a fine machine , just nor as good as the Euro machines .
