Any body have any experience with this batteries I like the fact the they are ligth & you don't need a tender. www.ballisticparts.com

Not familiar with Ballistic. They seem to be similar to the Shorai batteries which everyone raves about. I'd look at them both and see what the largest CCA's that would fit would be and go for that one. They didn't mention amp hours. Wonder what they are?

if you think that one is bad.......don't ever try to change a 5SM ECU:stickpoke

the MicroTec won't clear one of the electrical connectors.....the lower right

the POS is heat treated......want to know how i found out?

i thought i'd bend it for some clearance.....it snapped:wtf:

I must look into one of these for my RSV4, not so much for the weight although that is always welcome, but more so for the smaller size that would give me a place to put my emegency puncture repair kit, there is no room at all anywhere on the bike

I'm using a Shorai Lithium Iron Battery LFX18A1-BS12 on my F4.
It has a protection circuit that will sacrifice the battery before the bike.
We've seen some of the LiFe based batteries vent out its guts all over the bike when stressed by overcharing or using undersized batteries for the application.

The Shorai has worked flawless on several of my bikes for over a year of abuse. They don't need to be placed on maintainers and can sit for 8 months or more if there is not a draw on the bike.

Shorai makes a good charger that balances the cells for longer life as well:
