I have the original rubber caps if you would like something more easily removed.

I got some aluminum pins a couple years ago. They work great. Use small tie wraps to keep in place. Should invest in cotter pins
I used some little bolts with a decent unthreaded area and a little lock nut each end.
Works well.
I only fitted them whilst waiting for the replacement aluminium pins in the post but they work so well Ive left them.

Mine fits perfectly. It is not especially tight. Double check the part number.

It should slip in to the base and not rattle. You should not have to drive it home.

I talked to someone from speedy moto and they said the mv nut itself might have too much material on it from the factory. They said its the tool eveyone uses.
Part number is 04-0203 as printed on the back

It does not slide to the base
