I mean the standard ethylene-glycol...boron / silicate free OAT stuff that is ok for aluminium ?

Is something like Triple QX Red @ £8.99/ 5 ltr, any good.
It states OAT but not much info than that?

It only seems like only the expensive bike specific coolants give detailed specs - around £30 / 4 ltr

So I will be the first to use it, I'll let you know if it pisses out the pump seals in 6 months time.
Cost £10.99 including 10 litres of water to flush out the old stuff.

Triple QX Red Antifreeze is an extended life, ethylene glycol antifreeze/coolant providing effective heat transfer and all climates, year round performance meeting BS6580.

It contains Organic Acid Inhibitor technology and is free from nitrates, amines, phosphates, borates and silicates.

OAT corrosion inhibitors provide excellent long-term protection for aluminium and cast iron, but may not be the best choice for older cooling systems that have copper/brass radiators and heater cores. It depends on the formula.
