OK, here's the deal, I know what I pay for Pirelli race tyres if I walk into a bike shop as a stranger and buy a set of slicks.

I also know what I pay when someone comes to help me with some special pricing.

My question is - in your part of the world - what do you pay for the latest Pirelli or Michelin slicks before any special discounts please ?

I don't want to know about Dunlops, or Bridgestones...etc, for various reasons.

i pay £80 a pair, used but still with at least 2 trackdays life left, i do ride hard but i'm sure you could stretch to 3 if the surface is less harsh at different tracks, let me see if i can get a deal out of the distributor on new tyres as i have a small parts business in the uk

We pay on average AU$670.00, and knock about a $100.00 off that if helped by someone.

For the same slicks as hb88xx, quick google search in UK reveals the fronts as £137 inc. VAT and the 190 section rears at £156 inc VAT.

Jeepers

DIABLO SUPERCORSA 120/70ZR17 58W F T SC1 120/70-17 W Front
DIABLO SUPERCORSA 200/55ZR17 78W R T SC1 200/55-17 W Rear

Those are the one's I use, sometimes the SC2 on the rear.

Crikey Hans, looks like you guys get screwed over even more than us.

Not sure about slicks, but I was quoted $650 USD from my local Ducati dealer for SuperCorsa race tires (not slicks) in SC1 front and SC2 rears...120 fronts and 190 rears.

I ended up buying from a smaller dealer who gave them to me for $400 for the pair.

Slicks are tough because in the US majority of people on the track including racers use DOT race tires such as the power cups or the supercorsa. The power cups i can get around $500 a pair. The pirelli slicks i bet i cant even find! Unless your talking the pirelli pro. Which is a trackday slick that doesnt require a warmer so not really what ur looking for.

$400 or actually less is the norm on those tires. Dealers dont buy enough tires to pass a discount but im sure you knew this.

Also check sportbiketireservice.com that will give you the lowest michelin prices in the US.

Where do you find them for less? I only found one place that had them in stock (Ducati dealer that races). Only two places could even order them ($500 avg) and everyone else said they could not even get them.

Tell me where you find them for less than $400...I am all about saving money!

Thanks
