He doesn't have a site, you have to PM him. The knurl is his screen name.

If you want a pleasant response, pm him in the morning before someone or something has pissed him off.

Or you could just bring yours into the Harley dealer for them to match it. The part numbers wont match, but I don't think it matters. It's just a reostat.

Wow thank you so much... great information Noel !!!!

Weber Marelli Throttle Position Sensor
it is available as part# 27629-01A from the Harley dealer

if you have a 5SM ECU the TPS is a PF1C/00-xxxxXE
if you have a 1.6M ECU the TPS is a PF3C/00-xxxxXE

One question: which TPS do I need for my 2002 Senna, is that still the #27629-01A?

The Harley unit has fixed mounting holes, my bike needs a TPS with adjustable holes.
Is there a different part number for the one that is exact.

I can certainly modify this one to fit, but a exact one would be just that much better.
not complaining, I am still extremely happy for this great information.

Harley only uses the one style. $39
The aftermarket available is marked differently with a bike picture on the face. $80

Ducatti still sells the exactly correct unit, but at a MUCH higher price.
$233.30
It was easy enough to modify the Harley unit, to allow for adjustments.
especially if you have the old unit as a donor.

I am good to go and thank you very much Noel, you are a gem.. :smoking:

can you set the tps with software on this model, if so (and i am not sure ,but someone will correct me,) all you do is screw the tps on ,without modifing any part of it ,and then use vdst software to just reset the tps position. all you are doing at the end of the day is telling the ecu the position of the throttle bodies when at 2.3 degrees or whatever setting is relevant to your bike.

Seems there are 3 or 4 of these TPS units with different configurations.

As it turned out the Harley (01C) part did not work as mine still has the 1.6M factory ECU.
However it was pretty easy to find one of the Ducatti 03C units after realizing that all these different bikes use the same TPS style units.

thanks to The Knurl and my MV dealer//Unique SBK Miami I am back on the road. :f4:
