Got the sport finally going on the road , Everything is good except for the ignition.
Seller had key cut when I purchased as keys were lost ,and it has not been cut right as hard to turn off and won't switch to night time operation.
Require ignition and set of keys for 1974 750 sport.
Have asked the uk owners club but thought I'd ask here also

Hi Adrian,

It always amazes me how people lose keys, I just don't get it but anyway good luck with the search.

Have you asked a good locksmith if they can make a key? My brother bought a repossessed Alfa GTV that came without keys (obviously cheap) & he had a locksmith in Sydney pull out the barrel and make a set of prefect keys for it. Surely someone in Melbourne can do that. :)

I am happy to hear you have the bike on the road, I bet you are loving it! :)

Rob,
I think because previous owners never rode it it was never sorted. I actually waited a week for seller to get a locksmith in Wa to make keys for it but he obviously hasn't done it right.
I am picking up bike this weekend then will be getting it on club rego before I can ride it.
I will try and get a locksmith here, just got to find one that's capable .

I guess we will ;) You need to find a automotive specific specialist locksmith rather than a general locksmith.

Someone like these guys would be a good starting point :)
Funny you say that Rob , I was looking at them port Melbourne locksmith last night . And they are 15 minutes from home. Will be the first people I call when I pull the barrel out .

Yes I knew they were close to your home & they seemed to fit the bill, I am getting pretty au fait with the Melbourne landscape ;) I am sure if they can't help they will know who can but I honestly don't see it as a big deal, if the the existing key mostly works, it must be pretty close to correct, I'd think some minor alterations to that cut and you'd be home free.

All the best :)
