Is this just for the sake of having one? Many people have had myriad issues with installed alarms, including the MV branded alarm.

Why install something that can have a deleterious effect on your bike?

For sake of parking on the street actually - couple guys + a van is a common way for motorcycles to disappear around new york city.

Just giving you a "heads up" about issues caused when alarms are installed on these bikes.

The MV Corse accessory alarm (factory accessory) was made by Cobra. I had one. It worked very well and was an easy install...but a couple of times it caused me headaches (like refused to start). I took it off and sold it on after a year.
