Having owned my new TVL for 18 months I am not sure that the autoblipper on the quickshifter is working, I have checked the settings in the dash, sport mode etc which are all ok but I do not see a small increase in rpm when changing down. The dealer assures me that it is working but I think I am being fobbed off, can anybody suggest a way of checking.
Thanks Andre

As per my understanding, the way the shifter works is by shutting down the injection during the change of speed. It has nothing to do with a RPM change during the speed change. RPM get adjusted naturally when speed is engaged, as it is the rotation speed that set the pace of the injection and lightning in the fire chambers...

Never checked if it "blips" the revs. Certainly never been any perceivable blip, like you'd do for yourself without the quickchanger. For me, if it changes smoothly it's got to be matching the revs effectively. Unless it's not smooth on downshift why question if it is working correctly? I luv the autoblipper downshift. For me it is even more appreciated than the up shift. Never need to worry if your in the exactly right gear for the corner. It can be corrected smoothly and effortlessly so quickly. Luv it and don't think I would ever want to be without it now. Dave

Hi Andre,
greetings to Wales :)
In my opinion, the up shifting is much smoother then the down shifting. To down shifting you have to release the throttle and sometime it is getting a bit hard to go one gear down.
You will feel it when the QS is not working.. believe me. My QS was 3 times changed during the warranty ...

Hi Gero thanks for taking the time to reply, I am now sure that my quickshifter is working as you have described and that the autoblipper revs increasing with the throttle closed when downshifting is just pie in the sky, thinking back I am not sure where it all came from, my excuse is old age ;) Andre
