Replaced the heat shield with a more substantial set up looks over kill but better than before it had already melted the bellypan and had to cut the brittle burnt bit out

Nice. Yea I see burnt locations beginning to form on mine but nothing to concerning. Bike is tip top now, just went for a blast around the neighborhood. I'm bored...

What material did you use, and what is it rated for? I'm seeing ratings of 1100 and 2000 degrees F, and commentary about "intermittent" temperature ratings. Just wondering what product you used, and if you used any extra adhesive.

it is just a 3mm fibreglass heat reflective material off ebay very sticky but I cleaned and warmed the plastic before fitting. I used heat reflective tape as used by plumbers over some edges.

Did exactly the same to mine, bought a huge sheet from the Staffs bike show and it works a treat...
