Yeah Hoping it will set my hair on fire 😄.
Wakey is still up in the air. BAC announced they were still in negotiations and it will open again. But the model won't be the same...
I guess it is Eastern Creek for a while. Lucky for me eastern creek is my favorite track.

But I have a bit of time off at the moment so did Phillip Island this week, doing the Bend next month and Morgan Park beginning of April.

Hey that sounds like a bit of fun and you've just made Wakefield that much smaller 😋
I bought an ex HRC ASBK 929 about 20 year ago and it was absolutely feral - but fun
How good was the island weather, although was amongst the worst days I've seen for carnage in a long time, including the big goose thing that got obliterated on the front straight 🤮🤮🤮

Were you there again and I missed you! We were pretty stunned the rider who hit the goose didn't go down. I had to duck under 2 of them coming in to MG on the brakes 🤣. Then there was the one doing perp walk on the exit of turn one I had to take avoiding action on 😮
Was really good weather particularly with that wind direction making T1 and Stoner very safe corners.
I'm fairly regular at Mega days and was chatting with one of the staff I know saying at line up for rego it had a sketchy clientelle feel to the day and expected they could pick it too. He said yeap, it felt like a public holiday crowd which often results in lots of crashes.
Some weird lines and riding styles. Took me 3 laps to overtake a guy on an RSV who liked to park it in a corner like Stoner then would full gas out after the corner was finished. Then be the last of the late brakers in to Honda trying to outbrake me. More than once I was hard on the brakes mid corner because this guy had the weirdest of lines after running wide would close the apex with out looking 20-30kph slower than those on the line. Problem is to pass a 1000 on a 600 you need to hold corner speed to get them on the exit.
If someone tries to pass me at a track day I usually assume they are faster so don't brake quite as hard to let them through and see what lines they use because maybe I could learn something. But there are some that just try harder to out brake you.

Yeah wildlife was hectic, I ducked and braced for impact with a plover going through hayshed but somehow missed
When I came across the goose it was in 3 major pieces luckily I was passing a guy so we went either side of it, and same couldn't believe there wasn't a bike down in turn 1
My mate ventilated the bottom casing on his 1098s engine in green group Tuesday lunchtime so I gave him a session on the F4 ...... He's now planning on buying one for himself 😂😂😂

Was he the guy that had someone run in to him at Honda?

I love road trips with the boys - good luck with the bike and have a ball - hopefully you're in favoured company ✊✊
Solo drive for this trip as I'm on Long Service Leave. Did a deal for my mate who runs his own business. "I'll drive your gear down and you just fly down for the track day inlcuding limo service (me) to and from the track and free accom." Also paid for his track time as he looked after me recently with his business. He was keen as.
I couldn't think of anyone else I would rather hit a new track with.
I quite like road tripping solo.

Great time at The Bend last week. 1st day GT circuit. Wow there are some sneaky corners in there and then 2 days on the international circuit. I enjoyed the international circuit more than the GT. HUGE amounts of grip on this track and very abrasive. Most people were running higher pressures than normal to avoid cold tearing their tyres which was strange in itself. The new track bike will take some getting used to. I think I would have been faster this weekend on the 600.

I'm keen to go back.
