Had to pick up my bike at "Rider's Hill", our new dealership for the Atlanta region, so decided to add a couple of miles to the trip and head up North in the mountains. Attached some pictures taken at "TWO", a popular bike hangout in Northern GA. In the parking lot you will see my MV, my buddy's 999R and the wife's car (she had to drop me off at the dealership...and well...also felt like going for a rip in the mountains).
During last year's ride we had lunch at this place, and I'm sure it will also be on the program this year.

It definitely feels as if the season is changing and temperatures are actually becoming bearable. This bodes well for our group ride within 2 weeks.

The only reason they let Tea park that car in the drive instead of on the road is because she's so pretty....Normally no cars allowed in the parking lot....it is "Two wheels Only" you know.

Looking forward to the ride.

I just cant wait to fill that lot with a ton of MVs again!

Ed you think you will want to meet up a little earlier than last time so a few laps around the whole mountain can be done?

We're currently discussing the group ride and have some decisions to make.
My fear really is that i'm going to be sore from sitting on the MV all day. Not good with a full track day ahead of me the next day. Ed and I discussed splitting into 2 groups. More to come.

Hmmm interesting.. I totally get the track day ahead and being beat up on the Mountain ride. I am up for it either way.

Yves you bringing your 999 to the track as well as your MV? I bringing the MV and the GSXR 600 because I bought it and havent rode it on the track yet.

Bringing both bikes to the track.
Talladega GP is a really small technical track with hardly any straights. It's ideal for the Ducati, but I think it will be rough on the 312R.

I can loan someone my 43 tooth rear sprocket if anyone needs it (or, to take it just incase you bike feels too tall in the gears). No problem at all to loan it out. I never use it as it creates too much bottom end... which would seem ideal for the Tally track.

I'll bring it with me to any of the Bubba meets, Friday through Sunday.

Same chain length ?

The problem with too much bottom end at the Tally track would be the possibility for a high side. Especially the only right hand turn (big U turn) in the middle of the track will require to feather the throttle.
