Team Double3 Racing Bike Prep and Customising
So, here we are, 2015 and another year to throw money down the big old hole called "racing"
.
The decision was made by the executive commission ( :thewife: ) and Mitc, that we/I will go racing full season again for 2015, after 2013/14 turned into a medical nightmare with next surgery ...etc..
I will use this thread to share the experience, the pains of loosing weight, getting fitter (note - just fitter, not quite fit, that's too hard), and then the bits about the ever continuing fiddling and rebuilding the bikes.
We are happy to have EPS _ Electrical Pump Systems and Penrite Oils on board as sponsors with Al from Design Corse helping out as usual which is very much appreciated as I know he's sponsoring another forum member full time at the moment.
We are still looking towards raising funds for other running cost's as my current work situation brings in no money at all.
Got the screw removed from my shoulder/neck, and had 3 vertebra (C5.6 & 7) fused on May 5th 2014 and the left knee reconstruction was a great success, just have to try and get past this Diverticulitis as I don't have the time or money to go for intestine surgery, so the diet had to change quite drastically.
I hope to see some of you trackside, the rest will have to keep an eye on Carl's Trackday thread for pictures. http://www.mvagusta.net/forum/showthread.php?t=24141
Anyway, there are some good maintenance and modification tips in here, so I decided to change it to a general mods thread, lots of the info and experience gathered over the year also applies or can be applied to guys still road riding.
If there is anything I am doing that you would like to see more pictures of, or add some experiance or tips for me, please just ask or add as I go along.
There is a few things we will be looking at, most not much use for the guys who still ride on the road, but might still be interesting to read and see, and some very important bits for all to see.
And you can follow us on Facebook -https://www.facebook.com/pages/Team-Double3-Racing/153264738050813

8. Do some more alterations on the gearbox.
I will add pictures from various stages of the stripping, prepping and assembling of the bike and the spare chassis. So if you have any questions or requests, then now is your time to do so.
I hope we can turn this into a mutually informative and supportive thread too, I will go through brake bleeding if you want, as well as hub servicing and oil changing, even steering bearing changing and suspension fiddling, all if you are willing to do your bit of course.
I have noticed more guys are dragging their MV's onto the track and I think this is a good place for us to help each other, feel free to ask, I will help where I can
