Hi,
I had an Ohlins specialist set up the suspension for me, although I did not get to test it well ( it was pouring rain ).
The bike was not balanced, the front sag to much (44 mm) which made it lean more to the front.
He suggested to fix this, make it balanced although I told him that it is prone to head shake on hard acceleration and though a lower front setting would help keep it from lifting too much...
Added 4 turns of pre-load to the front to be able to lift it up and get less sag.
First feeling was that the front feels a lot less harsh on bumps which is great, did not feel any change while leaning the bike into turns, not slower, still the same, did not feel more lightness in the front on acceleration, no head shake but keep in mind it was pouring so can't really compare... I wanted to get rid of the hard feeling on the back also so we decided to turn down the compression on the shock but it was already half a click away from minimum. So no major change there... ( i think i will have to recheck this as I am not really convinced )
Anyways this was my experience, I will rewrite my impressions after further testing.
Anyone has done anything to their set up?

cheers,

I've an appointment at my dealer tomorrow for the 1000km check/service.
They said they could help me with the suspension.

Do you mind sharing your settings with us?
Did the Ohlin-Guru set up the bike for a specific weight?

I'm curious about your testdrive when the rain stops

Will let you know when I'm back from first service !

Yeah of course they set up the bike to my weight, i was there, they took the measurements with me on the bike so they could calculate ride height back and forth then fixed it. I did not take my settings but I will try to go back there today and note them down....
I weigh around 83 kgs naked....

After riding more the bike, I can confirm that the front is much nicer and soaks up better the bumps in the roads, doesn't feel as harsh as it was and it is more settled under acceleration.
Still need to take a screw and check if the setting on the shock's compression is at its softest if not it could use a couple of clicks.
cheers,

Did you do your suspension setting? How did it go?
What is your feedback?

My Dragster had her 1000km service last saturday.
They checked my rear wheel for balancing because of the "bouncy" feeling I have between 70-95km/h.

It seems my rear tire is not 100% round :banghead:
They placed the wheel on a balancing machine and the problem was noticeably visible.

So a new rear tire is ordered , this should fix the problem.

I've tried the suspension settings Acker placed in the B3 suspension thread.
This made a huge difference with the factory settings.

So I was wondering if there is a big difference between your settings and the settings I'm using.
As the weight is almost the same, you're just a couple kg's havier (no offence )

As I've just finished the first 1000km, I can now start riding the bike she should be ridden :yo:

Cheers,
