Slipper Clutch Hub Wear / Deformation

Hey guys,

I have a 2012 F3 675 and installed the OEM MV Agusta Slipper clutch back in 2013. Since then I have noticed at every oil change a lot of aluminium glitter in each oil change.

I updated my inner clutch hub last year to the revised item and think I have identified my source of aluminium. I noticed my inner clutch hub has been getting beat up by the fingers of the clutch where its deforming. The red in my pic below indicates the point of contact and deformation. It looks like it work hardened.

My question, is this a normal wear point for a slipper clutch?

I just want to make sure before I order a new inner hub if this is normal or not. A few of the fingers became unscrewed slightly a few months after installing (caused the clutch to slip as no spring pressure) and that might have caused the deformation when the hub rolled back down the ramps onto the slightly "elevated" fingers.

I might upgrade to a better slipper clutch if I convert my bike to a full time track bike. I have my eye on a Suter slipper clutch. Anyone tried one?

Pics below when clutch was still new. Just for your reference.

Yep, I ran Suter in my race bikes, they have a great name, the older designs were not particularly friendly to change the springs on, but the later designs are better.

The F4 WSB started with EVR and moved to Suter. BSB was Suter too

for me its the ability to adjust and easily serviceable. Oh and as such they work better.
