Right, I have an issue with my 990R under wot acceleration ... this is noticible in all gears except first (too much keeping the front down for me to focus probably!) and I'll describe it as a slight hesitation as if the power is retarded from 7k rpm to about 8.5k rpm ... tis smooth before and after but in that range it kind of stutters a bit with a perceptable change in the exhaust noise and I can feel the torque cut a bit almost as if TC has kicked in. It happens with TC on 8 or off totally so it aint that directly ...

I have reported it to my dealer who notified MV but came back as not a known issue and without a suggested cause/remedy.

Anyone else noticed this ???

does the 990 have sport mode? Is it enabled?

On the 1090, if it's not in sport mode you can feel it cut back - I think around 8K rpm or thereabouts. I can't say I've ever given it wot in 1st-3rd for fear of it just going over backwards above about 6k rpm

Sport mode? Did not know I had modes! Always had sport showing on the dash though lol ... just checked and I can toggle the sport display text on/off so I'll see what that actually does tomorrow :)

My ECU is being replaced under warranty for the engine cutting out issue which may also solve this one as it is a different map ... just maybe.

Yes the 990R has the sport mode. havent tried it though. Whats the main diff? Is the hp cut down?
I cannot remember where I have read this and if this information is valid...but when at NORMAL mode the engine uses only 100hp while at SPORT mode, the engine gets all the artillery!
