Over the years Irish Road race fans have been Occasionally disappointed by races being canceled due to inclement weather. (as with 2013 NW 200 eg).
We have been crying out for road closure extensions similar to those in the IOM ....and now gladly they seem to be getting the green light.

That means that if the organizers 'know' that race day (or practice) is going to be a 'wash out' then they have the authorization to close the 'public roads' and 'move' the race/practice to another day...,and as race fans we welcome this. However as these are 'Public roads' we have to keep the 'Residents' on board who will inevitably be 'inconvenienced as a result....but then 'Real Road Racing' on our public roads is a way of life over here. Glad the politicians are listening!.
