F4s and the like aren't as fun as they used to be (getting older) I haven't ridden a brutale, should I even be looking at a brutale, or go right to a tv? Is the brutale much of an improvement over the f4 for guys wanting to get away from the race bike on the street seating position?

Depends on your build, because even though you sit more upright on the Brutale which is easier on arms and back, legroom is actually more cramped on the Brutale if you have long legs. (Comparing 4-cylinder bikes only)
The TV is fantastic in all aspects of comfort with heaps of performance.

Early B4 is way more comfortable than early F4.
Later B4 more comfortable than early B4 - I prefer to commute on my 1090RR rather than my 910R.

I've not tried the newer F4 but on an early one I struggle to do more than an hour or so, but have done 8 hours+ (with stops!) on the 1090RR.
I'm a short arse though so legroom is not an issue.

it also depends on the type of riding you will be doing. For around town and general commuting the B4 is fine. The TV would fit the bill for any type of riding and has the storage

I have both F4+B4. My experience on the F4 is awesome on a fast smooth twisty roads and stable. But you got to be fit to ride a F4. to get the best out of it. im stuff at the end of a days ride.
Where on the B4 i can go out further and find more twisty roads all day long, but i find the B4 a bit twitchy when transitioning not as stable as the F4.
A B4 does everthing well more of a fast Sport touring.
A F4 does one thing well it just eats up fast sweepers.
Both bikes are capable of doing trackdays.

B4 is a vast improvement over a sports bike riding position, you are basically bolt upright, hardly any weight on your wrists,no need to grip the tank with you knees unless you wish to.

Ive got pins in my ankles, feet, metal hips, pelvis, arm and full of arthritis in general...hence I ride upright comfy bikes these days, and find my 2015 1090RR just perfect :)

Go here and put in all F4, B4 and TV and your height etc and see the difference

Thanks everyone for the comments. Bogie, that link was great. I'm trying to justify the purchase of a brutale, given the number of bikes I already own, defies logic. But, especially with mv agusta it's more about the heart than the head. If I get it, I'll post pics.

I have a Brutale 920 and do 8-10 hour stints with no major issues, recently bought a TV as well and it is very comfortable to ride but not done any 350+ mile rides yet so cannot comment on any problems at the moment.

Congrats on your new to you Brutale, Looks like a nice and clean example, the gold wheels set it off well are they Mag or painted standard?. Good to see the midpipe has been replaced reduces a lot of heat, did you get the original in the deal? Let the fun begin.........

I still having the same doubts, will i be able to do my sacred saturday twisties without getting cramps? It would be nice to hear from you, now that you got your beautiful Oro, how are your legs going? Any cramps?

I have seen the 1090RR at the shop, and the pegs are quite high compared to my actual sdk1290r (which is, to me, the paradigm of confortable naked bikes), so maybe i'll need an extra set of adjustable footpegs, but for lower them in this occasion :grin2:
