This is not directly related to MV Agusta although Richard is a very keen motorcyclist. People outside the UK might not know the name, but Richard is well known here in the UK for presenting the Top Gear programme on BBC with Jeremy Clarkson and James May. He was badly injured yesterday in an accident whilst driving a rocket powered car at Elvington aerodrome not far from where I live here in Yorkshire. He is a very clever, amusing and witty guy and I hope he makes a full recovery from his injuries soon.

Lastest I heard 1pm GMT today, Richard has been moved out of intensive care into what's referred to as a High dependency unit, stable but off the critical list, however there are reports that he has brain injuries, obviously as a result of the crash. Keep hanging in there mate, we are all routing for you.

The most recent report I read stated that he had suffered a significant brain injury and though it's early on it appears that he will make good recovery.
