Hey all!!

Just wondering what is the general amount of revs people are changing at when cruising?

I had a Harley before this so I’m not used to the high rev range.

Thanks in advance!

Cheers,

Nick

Thanks Black_Gold_Saw - sweet, that’s about what I’ve been doing 6 - 8 that is. So riding at 10+ isn’t going to hurt the engine?

Cheers,

Nick

No not going to hurt your engine. However if your Brutale is brand new I'd follow to manual and keep it under a certain amount of rpm till you've reach that mileage.

Others believe in a hard break in. Others follow the manual.
Up to you :) A manual exist for a reason.

I had a Buell XB12X before my MV Turismo so I know exactly what you're taking about here.

That said, in town, I shift between 3 & 5k rpm.
Got 1200 miles on my Turismo now and have yet to find the rev limiter.

ADD: whilst cruising on the freeway 5 to 6k depending on speed... 70 to 80 MPH.
