Ok guys, need some tire advice. I have a 2018 brutale 800rr, besides the exhaust valve servo bs i love it. i put rotobox carbon rims on it and it did make a difference in handling. I noticed the steering seemed to get heavier? like the front wheel wants to "fall in" during slow moving turns. Its not dangerous or anything like that just noticable. The carbon rim size is a 6 inch instead of the 5.5 stock size. I put the stock tire back on because it was brand new. is there a tire size i can change to from the stock 180-55-17 to get the light/ neutral steering back? higher profile maybe? any advice would be helpful.

Hi!
The Rotobox rims are probably quite a bit lighter then the OEMs.. which will mess with your suspension setup -- You will need to set that up again. Also moving the 180 section tyre from a 5.5" rim to a 6" will make the profile a bit "flatter" which will alter your handling.

Your 6 inch rim needs a 190/50 rear tire. You could even go the 200, but may run into clearance concerns. As DKDravis mentioned, your 180 tire profile is no longer the same.

do a 190/55 tire there is not such a huge difference in shape to the 180/55, and will keep the bike nimble with a slightly bit more effort than your old 180/55/17.... i run a 190/55/17 on my F3 with 6" wheel as well but with BST wheels,,, way more drive from corners, but there is a very slight offset in quick transistions, vs the 180/555... but i figure i was going to go 180/60 prior to the 6" with 190/55.

I don't like 190-50 tires, their profile is round unlike the fronts which is triangular
The round shape grabs ridges on the road so the rear dances around, very annoying
The 180-55 is triangular too
If I was offered free 190-50 tires, I'd still buy 180-55 tires
