So my 2007 F4 has a radiator leak and it's at a West Coast GP Cycles but they won't send the radiator out for repair, they only want to replace it at a cost of $1136 (part only). I've had two leaking 848 radiators repaired in the past (one of which I'm almost positive was done by West Coast GP Cycles!) and have used Myler's in Utah with good success. I called Pro-Italia and they only wanted to replace, not repair as well. So, does anyone have a recommendation for a competent shop (ideally on the west side) who is willing to do the labor associated with repairing rather than replacing the radiator?

Thanks much,

Derek

You could PM "theknurl" on the forum,Noel has many contacts over there.Has the radiator failed on the top L/H corner? When it is repaired or replaced fit one of Joe's radiator brackets for piece of mind.

piss me off.....

Derek;

get your radiator back from the shop and send it to Myler's

they can write on the invoice "owner supplied, repaired radiator, no guarantee"

and they are off the hook.....

they just want to bend you over for a new radiator :jsm::jsm:

assholes

Thanks, my exact impression, which is odd because I know they've repaired a radiator for me in the past. I suggested that exact scenario and they refused so I picked up the bike, leak and all, yesterday and am trying to figure out where to go next. Maybe times are tough?

speaking of radiator leaks was it the 2007 model year when this started happening? Were there problems on the older models?
