I've got my radar detector hard wired to the battery and grounded to a spot on the frame. This is the second ground location I have tried but I continue to have the same problem. The laser detector goes off constantly (like 9 out of 10 minutes at least). Has anyone else had any issues running a radar detector on the F4?

What make and model is your detector? Does it work when you use it in a car? I have had Bel STI Driver's installed on my F4's (also hardwired to the battery and grounded to the frame) and they have worked quite well - only problem is my laser jammer sets the radar detector's LIDAR detection off, but you can turn that option off.

It is a Cobra but I can't remember the model right off. It works fine in my truck.

double check that you're getting a good ground. Paint on the frame can act as an insulator.

I have an adaptiv and ground it straight to the battery no problems
