Quad Lock on Superveloce ?

1459 Views 6 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  JeremyMoscow
Hello !

Does anyone tried to fix a Quad Lock on its SuperVeloce ?
It doesn't seems to have any space for it.

On your side, which solution (if any) do you use to handle your phone ?

Thanks

Use the ram attachment for the TomTom, GoPro and phone

I did this, using an sp-connect system (which personally I think is better than the quad lock system). Works brilliantly and looks ace. Doesn’t block the screen or the key. Being centrally located, the phone is exactly where I want to see it. Very happy with it…

looks good indeed.
Which mount system did you buy ?
Did you manage to install it without modification ?

I am asking because on MV, we don’t have this large center hole to install the classical stem mount like for other superbike.
I used the Clutch Mount:

To fit it, I had my local MV dealer (who is also a custom bike builder) drill a thread (M6 from memor) in the centre of the top stem nut to receive the mount. I would imagine any local engineering company could do this though.

Replacement stem nuts aren’t expensive, so I figured I would just buy another if it went wrong or I wanted to return it to standard.

Far better option Ram fitting to the side, ideal for Phone, GoPro and TomTom navigation

Just wanted to update you on this topic. I manage to install the Sp Connect solution on my SV without modifying the top stem nut. My phone is fitting and doesn't touch any part of the bike while turning.

While driving, the phone is not standing completely straight (must be an angle of 30-40 degree max) but this confortable enough to use the GPS and anticipate some difficult turns or for navigation.
