I'd be interested to learn the exact production/sales (ha ha) figure sof the "normal" models, that is the ones I had: F4 1000S, F4 312R, F4 1078RR, Brutale 1078RR.

My guess they will not be that much higher than the socalled "limited" editions. Am I right?

VIN Numbers

Do the VIN numbers shine any light on the production numbers? I previously owned a BMW HP2E, the production numbers were determined by the VIN numbers (about 2500).

I welcome any rumors about production numbers, if there is anyone who has heard of something they want to believe.

If there is someone who has direct contact with the factory, I Willy be very grateful if they could send a request to Varese on production numbers.:)

I have seen it. And there are some models which I have not heard about.

F4 1000 RR edition 50ans école d'aviation de chasse
F4 1000 SP-01
F4 1000 CR Platino
F4 1000 R 312 Scuderia Ferrari
F4 750 S Limited Edition America
F4 750 Agostini
Brutale 1078 RR Jean Richard
Brutale 990 R Brand Milan

Someone who has information about these. If they are made in one copy, I would not call them LTD.
:stickpoke Is there no one who knows anything about these models?

Cant help you with special builds but I did notice you dont have a listing for the 2001 F4S 750 . I know these exist, I got one
Did not the F4S 750 come out in year 2000. If a bike is produced over several years, I just put up the year it came on the market.

If it came out in 2001 I will correct it.

There aren"t factory or CRC limited edition bikes called:
F4 1000 SP-01, the SP-01 was a 750.
F4 1000 CR Platino, I saw pictures of it and sure it is not of MV or CRC but I kind of think from Motocorse or anyone like this.
F4 750 Ago, it was planned to release the Ago as 750 but the made the 1000 Ago and 750SR instead.
F4 750 America, I saw the bike but I'm really unsure about it if it was really made by MV or CRC.
F4 1000 312R Scuderia Ferrari is no MV or CRC one off made by a Ferrari fan I guess.

interesting thread, other than production can anyone verify how many were shipped to each continent/country? my near by dealer stated that, 150 of 2005 F4 1000S 1+1 were shipped to the US. is this true? i know these bikes are rare, but less than 150 in the whole US is kind of hard to believe. i guess this would be a question to importers.....

Thanks for useful info. :)

Then we are left with these two.
Brutale 1078 RR Jean Richard
Brutale 990 R Brand Milan

Anyone know anything about these.

not sure about the 05. but i know for the 08 312R its was because you need 150 on the sales floor to race in the American series so that is why that many made to the states and was publicized. FBF ran the race team and lets say they were not very successfull and by the end of the season ditched the Marzocchi and you guessed it fitted them with Ohlins

This shows a weakness of the setup.
Should we assume when a model came out in the U.S. or when it came out in Europe. The 312R came out in 2007 in my country. When I brought my bike in May 2008 it was exhibited along with an F4 1078 RR.

US import numbers for MV have always been very small. I do not have valid numbers, but have been advised that far less then 1000 total have been brought to US in even the biggest year. More like 500 or less total of all models in any given year.
For example, less than 50 white 2008 910R, about 25 Orange 2008 910S..totally maybe 150 2008 Brutale...and maybe (my guess) 250 total 2008 F4....

Compare that to the 10's of thousands of Hon-Kaw-Suz-Yam sport bikes sold in US each year and it really is a tiny number!!!!

Comprehende' Amigo...

not sure how you were working it. Thought I would drop it in..
We choose to use that year a model came out in Europe.
This will be a year earlier in relation to when one comes out in America on many models.
