Hi all, I managed to hook up with another F4 owner in my country and he was experiencing some issue with the gear box. He got quickshifter installed and now he can only shift to gear 2, cannot go further. Couldn't find any related thread on this. Had anyone experience this? It is on a 2010 F4.

Thanks Donsy. Just to check, what are the symptoms for broken gear selector return spring other that unable to shift to higher gear? Or it is just restricted to first 2 gears?

If the shift return spring is broken, the pawl that selects the next gear is left in its "shifted" position. This pawl must return to its center position to shift to whatever gear you choose next.

In order to test the theory: On a very solid rear stand (Pit Bull or equivalent) star the bike and shift into second...just at idle. Do this by hand next to the bike. If the shift lever stays "up", then you will not be able to select the next gear. Manually move the gear lever to the center position and attempt to shift up...that should work. If all that proves true, the shift return spring is broken.
