Hi guys,

recently my bike has experienced occasional stalling. It's an F4 750 2002 model, freshly serviced and throttle bodies balanced in the process. I find on occasion when I start it and it idles it will randomly shut off. It doesn't happen all the time just on occasion. Any ideas?

Is it only when cold? or does it do this after fully warmed up?
Agree with that Cat Whisperer fellow, probably idle speed is too low.

Its probably happened 3-4 times thus far whilst cold but after some idling. When bike is warm there is no stalling.

Idle speed is too low. Simple as that. Now adjusting the idle speed?? Not so simple unless you have the required tools and knowledge.

Take it back to the servicing dealer and ask them to raise the idle speed to specification using tach on VDST, not the one on the dash.

Thanks very helpful information. I will be taking the bike in for change of sprockets and chain so will do an idle adjustment too.
