Been waiting months for this thing to go back in stock. 2.932lbs (1330gr) for a large is insane. Especially for the price. $427 to my door from speed addicts. I’m a weight snob when it comes to helmets.

very nice, I will have to take a look at one of those, I need a sports helmet upgrade. I like a lightweight helmet with good aero . My Shark Race-R Pro carbon is about 1250g in a medium, but Ive had it a while and its had a new liner couple of years back.
I love suomy. I rock an arai now for my race lid but my next race helmet will be a suomy.

I love my Soumy helmet too but hate the wind noise. I have to ride with ear plugs all the time.

Which model do you have?

only issue with suomy is finding it in stock. I’ve been a huge suomy fan since I want to say 2007.
Hearing protection should always be worn when you ride anyway! (Ask the one's who are deaf...I mean "with experience"!)

Just keep in mind the SR-GP weighs more than the TX-Pro. Another reason I dislike the SR-GP is the visor latch is in the center. I prefer the visor latch to be offset to the left. Makes opening and closing while riding easier for me.
My first suomy was back in 2006, the model with the side pods you had to remove to swap shields. It was the worst design ever.

Mine too. I really didn’t care for the side pods. They have come a long way since then!

I really like my Suomy as well.... very light.
And I always wear ear plugs..... and hearing aids when I'm not riding. There is a reason for those hearing aids.
Interesting enough, I found I could ride longer without fatigue when I started wearing ear plugs. Who knew ???

I did. And have always worn hearing protection riding.
Same. Ear plugs in. Charger on when return. Each and every ride. High quality carbon fiber helmets for neck preservation. Never tried a Suomy tho.
I have pretty much owned Shoei lids for 30 years (since my FM Giancarlo Fallapa rep in 1990) but have just switched to a full carbon X-Lite.

When you’re due for a new helmet, give the TX-Pro a try! Very aerodynamic and stupid light.

I don't recall. I bought it few years ago. It is lightweight, but noisy. I do wear ear plugs...

Very nice helmet @mv2envy the exposed carbon is 🔥 … my first Suomy was Spec 1R Bostrom fit well and the iridium visor was great for day/night transition … I have an AGV & was going to purchase the Suomy GP Carbon but didn’t want to spend that much this TX-Pro Carbon seems more reasonable and it being lighter definitely a plus

The GP carbon is heavier and more expensive than the tax-pro. Also it doesn’t fit true to size. In all helmets I’m a large, in the SR-GP I’m a XL. Also the visor is weird as fuck on the GP. I just couldn’t get used to it. TX pro checked all of the right boxes for me, including price. Check out speedaddicts website. They will send you a 5% coupon code with email subscription plus there was no tax or shipping for me in AZ.

Must have been their older helmets. These 2022 models are a different animal all together.
