Yeah, envious, that looks excellent.
Welcome from West Oz.
Are you going to ride it or put it in the lounge room?

It had a complete fluid change. Is there other things I should adress before start riding it?

Welcome aboard, there is a large knowledge base when you start trawling through the forum.
Do a search for the Following items if you haven’t done so already:
Chain tension too tight ruins the rear hub bearings
Wellnuts in the airbox

Nice example of an early 1000! Welcome.

You are on the right track for things to look at: Battery, Rear Hub, Well-nuts at the Air Box, and you should have a look at the Fuel Pump hoses in the tank.

Yes, replace wellnuts in the airbox with precrimped rivnuts. If that bike has not run for a few years this is a vital task, failed wellnet from rubber degradation can fall into throttle and into cylinder. This problem happened on mine, but lucky no bits into cylinder.

Good day Jim. As mentioned, change the gas lines in the tank. If you really want to improve ride ability buy a new eprom from Merc7 on this forum. You won't believe the change in the smoothness of the engine

Welcome from Philadelphia. Enjoy!

keep your new battery on a tender and be careful with your (+) and (-). Clean your grounding point on the engine case. Fully charge the new battery before installing.
