New member - RPM sensor not working

Hi, Just bought my first MV Agusta Brutale 750, build in 2005, with around 23.000 km.
Always loved the model and happy I bought it so far. Attached a picture.

I bought it with the fault that the display doens't show any RPM, it does the testing when the power is on. But the RPM's are not showing, hope I can get some help to fixed this 😎

I'm from the Netherlands by the way.

Welcome to the family !! Nice looking Brutale.
The tachometer operates on a signal from the ECU. The fact it sweeps when key is turned on indicates the dash is OK, but it isn't getting the signal from the ECU.
Do you have the workshop manual? I would check continuity of the wire from ECU to meter plug and also the meter connector itself.

Thanks for the quick response, I do have a printed out manual from the earlier owner. I also downloaded the manual online and I saw that I need to check pin 16 and 20 on the ECU for voltage. If there is it should be a fault with the ECU and otherwise there would be a fault with the sensor itself.

Any idea where I can find this RPM sensor, its like a cable.

He has no tachometer....those tests are for the speedometer sensor. If the Crankshaft Sensor is bad the engine will not run at all.

@Wesdia
The engine rpm sensor is in the crankcase adjacent to the phonic wheel on the left end of the crankshaft.

if rpm are not appear on Tach, most probably it's the rpm sensor or it's ecu. I have one sensor if you need
