I understand the Mobisat tracker comes as standard on most new MV's from 2021 onwards and on some older bikes. I have a 2021 Brutale 800 RR but have had no luck getting it to work (it doesn't show up when I search on bluetooth). There's a Greenbox MV Agusta app which I believe is used to control it, which is separate app from the MV Ride app.

Does anyone have any experience of using the Mobisat tracker?
Any ideas where the tracker is located on the bike?

Thanks.

Welcome to the family !!! Where are you located within the UK ?
I know absolutely nothing abut a MobiSat tracker as standard equipment on any MV. Maybe I am uninformed?
Does your owner manual say anything ?

I'm also investigating, but isn't it connected with an OBDâ…ˇ coupler under the seat?
I think that is the Mobisat GPS unit.
I think you have to put the identification number and approval number in the GreenBox app to make it work.

If it doesn’t get activated it WILL drain and kill your batteries. I’m about $1.5k deep into finally getting a starting/battery issue fixed on my 22 Rosso that’s due to the mobisat not getting activated by the dealer I got the bike from

Thanks for identifying the location of the MOBISAT tracker. I had noticed the battery on my SV discharged over a period of a couple of weeks if not connected to the charger (I found out the hard way once when I had it connected, but forgot to switch it on...doh!). I've just taken out the unit, which is a Teltonika Telematics FMM001 (which is now obsolete, support ends AUG 2025, replacement: FMM003). The power consumption specs are:

At 12V < 6.5 mA (Ultra Deep Sleep)
At 12V < 8 mA (Deep Sleep)
At 12V < 13 mA (Online Sleep)
At 12V < 16.3 mA (GPS Sleep)
At 12V < 31 mA (nominal)

A previous poster noted that the unit consumes more current when not registered. It could be that until it is registered, it remains in the "nominal" state, drawing 31 mA. If so, a new, fully charged battery with an 8.6 Ah capacity would be drained in 8.6/0.031 = 277 hours, or about 11.5 days. An older, not fully charged battery would obviously be drained more quickly, so this explains a lot. I also have a Scorpion DataTool tracker fitted, so that also has a current drain, but at least it is Thatcham approved and lowers my insurance premium.

Needless to say, I've disconnected the MOBISAT tracker, not least because it only ever worked for a short period and then gave an endless "Registering..." message in the MyRide app.

Many thanks!

Just a question out of curiosity, was it connected to a large OBDII plug like on the image above, or a small white and red plug? (or maybe to an adapter between these two?)

My dealer told me the tracker wasn't on the bike and the only plug thats not the diag / charge one is a small white and red plug

@leecrane1 .... would you do us the honor of an introdcution with a post of your own in this New Member section??
There you can tell us what part of OZ you live in and about your MV.
Thank you.

Hello guys.
As some of you know, I bought a new bike and it comes with 2 components (the mobisat and a gps antenna). The mobisat came disconnected, to avoid battery discharge. For the other hand, the gps works ok, and allows me to record my trips in mv ride app.
I don't know if the mobisat has a gps, but I think it can connect to the cellphone network (2g/3g), so you can track the bike with the greenbox app. I'm currently emailing Mv, asking for asistance to registrate and activate the mobisat (the dealer did not do this for me). If someone has more experience with this or got more information from the dealer, I would apreciate it.

PD: I have the mobisat allready connected but not registered/activated. Battery is ok, everytime with 13.1 v (shorai lithium battery)

Hello
I've the same issue as you, I bought a new bike in oct 23 in France ( sorry for my english), Yesterday I got info from MV ( see attachment files ) It' s the only info I have. I'll try to install greenbox apps to start services, that should free of charge for one year!
What i know when the tracker is plugged to the bike and not registered, I cannot start the bike after 3 days in the garage, I hope it will be better when I 'll register it ...
Good luck

Ok. I am now a happy user of mobisat AND greenbox. The app Is not the best of his class, but the mobisat do his work. At least 4 days with no use and the battery was ok(lithium shorai).
To make mobisat work, I had to remover it from the Bike, to see the IMEI AND Serial numbers. This info Is needed for registration in greenbox Mv webpage. The dealer number Is needed too. After this, I had to register the IMEI in the cellphone network in my country (perhaps this step Is not a requirement in every country). I have been using it for one month and Is very usefull. The position and other info(Fuel consumption, distance traveled, etc) Is very close yo reality.
