Hello lads (and lasses!)
Just purchased an F4 1000 S 1+1 from Alkatraxx who's been more than helpful.
Getting to know the bike right now and I love it so far...

I hope I can provide input to others as I gather experience on the MV.

bye for now, and ride safe out there...

How was the photo taken? Is that the largest version? I love it! I'd like to make it my desktop background but am seeking a larger version if it exists ;)

What a warm welcome ! Thank you !
A bit about me then: started with an Aprilia RS125, moved on to an FZR600RR then to a Triumph T595, an aprilia RSV1000 back to a Triumph 955 which I kept 6 years to become an MV owner...

I've had the bike a week. The first impressions are good. The MV lacks a bit of grunt down low compared to the triple, but quickly builds power as the revs go up to become an animal compared to the Triumph.
The power is truely amazing for someone who is not used to an inline four like me, I find it hard not to cut off the throttle before the limiter as the thrust is astounishing.

The cycle part is well on part to the engine, and reminds me in a lot of ways of my track dedicated Aprilia 250 !
The downsides so far are the heat generated by the engine, not used to it yet, the fan kicks in too often for my liking, and also the harsh seat makes it a pain (litteraly) to ride long distances.

The picture in my avatar is available to you in 1280X1024 resolution to whoever wants it, just give me your email adress by PM.

Welcome aboard, Erik. That is an excellent avatar and would make a slick background for my desktop.

Welcome Erick, are there many MV's in Paris? What are the speed limits if any in France? I lived in Germany for 4 years back in the early 90's compliments of the U.S.Army, which I visited Baden-Baden once but that was the only time in France other than fly thru's .

Not sure about the amount of F4's around here... well, there's 2 of them here in work anyway.... !
Speed limits are 50 kph in town, 130 kph on the motorway.
The current government has built an increasing repression against speed, it makes it harder and harder to have fun, but you still can.... if you know where to go... :)

Alex, send me your MSN invitation if you get a chance ;)

Welcome Erick, nice to see another 955 owner make the switch.....(although I couldn't bare to part with mine....so I kept it!!)
If you enjoy your MV half as much as I enjoy mine, you will be well happy!

Erick, welcome to the forums! Since a lot of our members live in the states it's always nice to see someone from another country on the forums. I'd love to see some pictures of your rides as you get more under your belt on the MV. Congratulations on the new bike too!
