Okay....I did it......I am the proud new owner of 06 F4 with 1000miles. (and probably the ONLY one in Mississippi) I wish I new about this bike 2 years ago. I love it! I was going for a Ducati but bought it sight unseen just for the visual impact and specs from what I've read on this site! This is the fastest bike I ever owned and so agile. But now
after taking it easy and ramping up slowly I now want it to be faster!
It came with a aftermarket Arrow mid-pipe. If I throw some Arrow cans on it will it increase the HP much or just sound better? What does the DB killer? do on the Arrow Cans?
Is there a brake upgrade? I'd like to have a little bigger brakes and a bit more gripping power when I need it. What's out there?
And the biggie......I'd like a little more "instant" throttle response especially between 3-5k RPM...would the power commander help out? Is it easy to do with average mechanical skills?
There is no dealer within 900 miles of me so I'm going to be stuck doing a lot of this myself. How hard is the improved water pump impellor to change out? I notice the H20 temp seems to run a bit warm 200-212 after a high speed run. Not a lot of stop lights here.....but I do like to go fast (within reason).
Any help or gouge you could pass on would be greatly appreciated......I really enjoy all of your posts, especially reading the stuff from the experts. You wont hurt my feelings so please throw it at me...I'm ready to learn all I can.
