The cam on my 'supposed' fully restored 1954 175 CSS was badly scratched when I received it.
I cleared them up with diamond emery boards and polished them.
Applied moly engine assembly lube and kicked till the oil flowed over the cams before starting.
Ran it for a 5 minutes when I noticed an oil leak.
Removed rocker cover and noticed the cams were already damaged.
The lobes are worn and obviously through the heat treated faces.
Does anyone know where I can get a replacement cam please.
Happy with either a CS or CSS cam just to get back on the road.
Many thanks in advance

Wonder if you could have the cams re-treated?

THey probably can be reground, surface hardened and re-polished -- Very much depending on the quality of the original cams.

Thanks for the reply and advice.
Yes but my lobes are already worn and the open to close duration of each lobe is well out.
My prefferred option is to get a new cam which I know it will be to specification.
I then also have the option to weld and regrind the old cam using the new cam as a template.
If I find one all will be OK, If not I'll have no choice but to rebuild.
I have had some sad feedback on supposed cam refurbishes in Australia.
If anyone knows of a refurbisher that has the CS or CSS cam profiles and do good work please let me know.
