Well gents,

My new baby came home this morning: a brand new 2005 Ducati 749D with only 3 miles.
I have to tell you that after only 15 more miles added, the 749 feels like a sweet ride and is more forgiving than my F4, but with much more soul than my R6.
Don't worry though. The MV Agusta is still the favorite in the group. The R6 will now be a dedicated track bike, and the Ducati will split weekend rides with the MV.

Nice addition!

Remus makes a nice twin can exhaust (slip-on or half-system) for the 749/999, if you didn't already know.

Makes for a nice option instead of the huge, pricey Termi aftermarket setups.

Thanks everyone. I took the day off and went for a ride today. Even though I could not open it up (low revs during break-in period), I had a blast. It feels like you are riding a BMX bicycle. Awesome little bike.
