Hello,

I really really like the Brutale and there's one available not too far from me. It's a 2006 with only 5 miles. Asking is $12,900 but I'm hoping to go lower.

Only problem is I'm 6'2. Is that way too tall for that bike? Are there any Agustas I can fit on? Currently I'm riding a 2004 BMW R1150R and I'm quite happy with it. I only considered the Agusta b/c I wanted another bike that was faster, Italian and a bit more exclusive. Any advice would be apperciated.

Thanks!

people vary. there are 6'6" people who find the brut a great fit, and 6'0" people who think the brut is too small for them. the only way you'll know how you'll feel on the bike is to go sit on one for yourself.

IMO, i'm 4" shorter than you, and i can't imagine that my brut would be too small for me if i were 4" taller. in fact i would think it would feel better if i were taller.

I'm 6'2" and fit on the brutale fine... best thing to do is go ahead and test ride one or sit on it. I have pretty long legs and find the F4/Brutale okay but maybe i'm pretty tolerant :)

6'1" here with a 32" pants inseam, and it's definitely OK in the driver's seat. A few things:

1. For me, I tend to ride on the balls of my feet, so the right side exhaust keeps me from doing that comfortably...my right heel splays out a bit. Thinking a new exhaust to fix that.
2. There seems to be plenty of leg room for my inseam. Knees fit well under the shape of the gas tank.
3. Hands drop right down to the controls on the handlebars. Longer arms too...35" to 36" shirt sleeves.
4. Pretty constrained on the seat location...not much space to move back, and the seat curvature seems to keep you a little forward. Not bad, but watch out when you come down off of wheelies!

You may only "look" a little larger on the Brutale, but it's definitely a full-sized bike. It's 55" wheelbase is in the hyper-performance 1000cc sport-bike range, so maybe that's why it seems small. :D

You should go to a dealership and sit on one. The late model BMW 1150R seat height is adjustable just likle the Brut, it's very hard to figure out if a bike suits you based on opinions of others.

i paid $12995 out-the-door for my 2006 910S about a year ago. i would think they are worth less now, especially with the new models coming out this year. is this bike a demo model or considered brand new?

personally, i wouldn't pay more than $12.5k for a new '06 910S. but the dealer may or may not budge on the price. dealers vary.

I'm 5'5". I'm truly convinced that the Brutale was made for me!

Ergonomically, it's the most perfect bike I've ever ridden or been on for that matter!

My 6'8" co-worker sat on it.... now that was quite hilarious! But he's got big 'o' mits and boats for shoes.... Should've taken that picture.

Thanks for the info everyone. This bike is brand new and has 5 miles. The only issue is the place it's being sold is over 3 hours away. I'm going to go there this weekend. Cool thing is they offer free delivery so that makes things easier. Wish me luck!

Good luck, but there is a member here selling one for Under $10,500. I think that is an excellent price for his bike and the miles on it. Do a search for Brutale 910 and you will find it.

Used Financing...

Not only can buying "used" work out good financially, but often a bank will offer the same financing on a bike that's either the current model year or the previous model year, like mine did.

oh, yeah, since you're tall, as am I, be sure to have some rather thin boots about the toes. At least in my opinion, my thicker boots, Icon field armor boots, make it hard to be smooth about shifting than when I'm being stupid and wearing normal shoes. At least that's my thought. It's probably wrong.
