Throttling moderately fast out of a roundabout this morning I must have hit a bit of oil or DIEsel on the road. The MV nearly high sided me, luckly for my experience in dirt bikes in my younger years I gave her more throttle and took the exit sideways. It was one of those heart stopping moments.

Maybe I was just luckly.Hahaha

PS : oil on the road is no fun at all.

Glad to see you stayed upright. Were your tyres cold? I had a reminder of not being complacent recently when a friend with a superlight and more than 20yrs riding experience (track also) decked his bike at 40kmh going around the second corner from his place. Completely his fault, cold tyres and was just going that bit too quick and siad he couldn't believe it one second hes up and the next bamm he's sliding down the road. Warm those tyres up people.
