If I was into having sex with inanimate objects, I would be boning like a porn star tonight as I have a rather unhealthy attraction to my new bike!:yo:

Just put on my custom seat, bar ends and axle slider.

Brand new with 8kms on it. As far as I know the only new 1078RR ever registered in Western Australia. Some may have been brought in from overseas / out of state but I have never seen a 1078RR on the road here so they are quite a rare site.

They feel quite a bit softer and gentler on the throttle than my 910R when it was stock. Looking forward to installing the microtec in this beast once its run it.:f4:

Thanks. Yes, it is not a bike to be disrespected I know. Softer than the 910R as in plusher suspension, and gentler in not being as snatchy on the throttle....... but much more powerful and angry for sure. I have been researching the reputation these have for long time and chose it over the 1090 because I am used to the 910r and did want want somthing that felt too radically refined in comparison.

I have been running the bike and enjoying riding the tidal wave of torque.

Came home and it stated dumping a lot of coolant out of the overflow pipe. Is this normal of have we got off to a bad start?

EDIT: hope its just the typical burping....but it was a LOT of coolant. When cold, its well below the min level?

Congratulations, It's exactly the same as mine, same colour and all, you picked a good un!.They're pretty rare though. I understand what you mean about not being able to stop staring at it...I got a fridge magnet of this bike in these colours and sometimes get distracted getting a yoghurt!!. You'll notice a big difference when you get the microtec ecu installed with the custom map that was developed for my bike. Hope you got it OK. Everything will be smoothed out but the throttle response is superb and you'll have an absolute 'ocean of power'..and that's with the stock exhaust! Strange about the coolant....hasn't happened to me, hope it's nothing. Congratulations again Davinder. Love the seat!..MUST get me one of them!!

Nice bike

Beautiful addition! I noticed that you missed the sticker that sticks over the sticker on the swingarm just like I did. I had coolant issues too, under filled or something? They refilled it and so far so good!

I was told it was normal by my dealer in fact when I picked up the bike he said not to worry if it happened but it didn't. He said that these bikes are quite finiky on the coolant level. Should sort itself out.

My 910 dribbled out the over flow when I rode her home. My son inlaw stuck his hand in that tight spot and tightened the cap real good. Not a drop since.

Amazingly pretty!

Thanks all.
CD has a number of cool things on it, User manual, Maintenance manual, quick guide, and something else I cant remember. It all runs of a flash front page with liked PDF files.

Good catch on the swing arm sticker!

Brian, have not fitted the microtec yet but will wait till after the first 1000km service. Very much appreciate the help with the map.

No problem Davinder glad you got it OK, although I got mine installed before it's first service!. I notice you got a cover with your bike.... I didn't!, and I've since learned you should get one supplied with the bike from new. The only main dealer here has a 'reputation' as others on this forum and live in my neck of the woods have eluded to in other threads..'MV mano' for example has had a bad 'experience'. Anyway when I bought my bike I had to really push to get the stand!..was told it was the property of the shop and only after a couple of days when they thought the deal was off they said I could have as a goodwill gesture even though it should come with the bike and as for the cover he wants me to buy it for £180 even though clearly I should have got it WITH the bike! I think I'll have to contact MOTO GB about this. Anyway enough about me all the best with your bike and as I said that seat of yours looks the business..where did you get it and how much was it ...as I WANT ONE!!! cheers Brian (BG) Wells.

If you get no where with MotoGB, it will be disapointing, but just in case have a look on www.superclassics.com (subsidiary of the Swedish importer of MV) they have a deal on these covers at the moment. Dealt with Eric and found him helpful.

Further to our previous conversations I will probably PM you about the Microtec ECU shortly, if that is ok with you?
