Saw on A&R (see link below) that the brutale dragster has MVICS 2.0.

http://www.asphaltandrubber.com/bikes/technical-specifications-mv-agusta-brutale-dragster-800/

Now do you think we will be able to get that on our existing bikes?

What I find most interesting is that the bike will have the quickshifter do the autoblip on the downshifts (Correct me if I'm wrong, but it looks like the same QS as currently on the F3 and B3).

"MVICS 2.0 includes not only MV Agusta’s eight-level traction control system, but also the company’s newest electronically assisted shifting (EAS), which does quick-shift operations for both upshifts and downshifts. Ride-by-wire is also a standard element to the package."

All the 3 cyl platforms have the same ecu, and run MVICS 2.0. The eas was always going to be both for up-shifts and downshifts, just MV needed a bit more time working on it to release it.

So when the next release of a new map or re-flash is available for each model the eas auto-blipper should be one of the new features.
Bring it on, I have been waiting for this for my eas B800, apparently it is due in the next month or so.

If the tech spec provided at the end of the article are correct than the Dragster does NOT have either MVICS 2.0 or EAS 2.0 both of which are required for auto blip on downshift.

Go read the full spec sheet at Asphalt & Rubber and you will see the Dragster does have the Eldor ECU MVICS 2.0

Not sure where you have seen different but I would be astonished if the above is inaccurate.

If you read the tech specs in the picture at the end of the post it clearly states MVICS and EAS, no 2.0 at the end of either spec. Also A&R is the only one reporting it has version 2.0. Take a look at the specs for the Veloce and they both clearly state MVICS 2.0 and MV EAS 2.0.

Just read my B800 owners manual and it clearly states Eldor ECU with MVICS 2.0, my bike was built July 2013, so I fully expect it to be comparable with these new releases. In fact I spoke with my dealer only last Tuesday and he told me this update was very close to release. My bike is going in for a new starter sprag clutch in the next few days and I hope the reflash is going to be available.

Still, I hear from my dealer there is a new map being released mid Feb. I've never heard them inform anyone about map releases unless they have already been released so I imagine its something significant.

That would be sweet if true. However, the owners manual says that the ECU is an Eldor EM2.0. That is seperate from MVICS 2.0. The ECU has been the ELDOR EM2.0 from the the day the F3 675 was released. The MVICS is the software that the Eldor ECU has loaded. I truly hope you are correct but as of now the only model that has MVICS 2.0 is the Turismo Veloce/Lusso. So it may be compatible but if I recall correctly the auto blip on downshift requires hardware that only the F4 and Turismo have, at least that's what the dealer told me.

I've just sent an email to MV Agusta Imports (Aus) to see if we can prompt an official response. They've been good, and willing communicators thus far, so we will see. I myself, think that even if there is a 2.0 on the way, the downshifting quickshifter will require certain hardware. Will post as soon as I have heard back.

Depending on which load-cell is being used on the F3's as apposed to the F4's which have auto blip at downshift. If they are the same, there should be no hardware update.

Most regional importers know naff all about the details so I have e-mailed Brian Gillan who is the lead electronics development guy at MV Agusta in Italy, hopefully I will get clarification and if so will post it up here.

Our current importers here is Aus are doing a bloody great job, they might not please everybody all the time but they do please most guys all of the time.

They are a great crew and working very hard at repairing the damage left behind by MV and the previous importers.

Credit where it's due :yo:

You Aus boys and girls are the lucky ones.:yo:

Maybe the last six years of the UK importers lacklustre performance has made me older and cynical. But hopefully good times are a coming.

Ive had a hit and a miss with the MV importer so far.

They really helped out with obtaining a new ADR vin sticker feom the factory, but the dealers still dont have a complete parts price list. Whichnis mad considering startwin do.

Fingers crossed for an EAS update that would be fun to try on track.

Any update on the new fuel map?

Still waiting and they did away with that "upgrade" page on the MV.it website so no way to know unless your dealer tells you...

I got an email from my dealer this week on another issue and they mentioned they should have it ready to install by next weekend?
