Press Release

MV AGUSTA WINS MASTER BIKE 2007 WITH THE F4 R 312

Years of painstaking work, never-ending research and the pure passion and professionalism of all the MV Agusta engineers won them the prestigious MASTER BIKE competition that this year took place at the Jerez circuit in Spain.

The F4 R 312 won the title of best motorcycle when up against the best the rest of the world could offer. The riders included 18 specialist journalists and world-renowned riders like Randy Mamola, Jurgen Fuchs and Stefan Chambon representing the 15 best-known motorcycling magazines.

Unlike previous versions, the three categories were changed this year to celebrate the tenth anniversary. The twin-cylinder and four-cylinder Superbike categories were replaced by Japanese Superbike and Italian Superbike.

The F4 R 312 first won the Italian Superbike category by beating the Aprilia RSV 1000 Factory and Ducati 1098 S. The MV then took on and beat the Yamaha R1 and Triumph Daytona 675 in the final. These machines had beforehand respectively won the Japanese Superbike and Supersport 600 categories.

The F4 R 312 allowed 4 riders out of 6 to their complete fastest laps in the final while 10 riders out of 18 clocked up their best times during the heats.

The F4 has become a legend in the motorcycle history and this latest win confirms once more just how much this machine is appreciated by both journalists and riders the world over.

no good reason.. just to have the latest/greatest. and cuz my bike is out of production... which is also not a good reason.. but then again.. half the things i do have no good reason behind them.. so.. yeah.. for that reason.

glad for your post at the "other" forum today...

i think the theme over there should be "LOVE IS BLIND" :)
I know. But I can see where they're coming from. I was really defending MV back when the 750 was still having it's teething problems.

I'm really glad MV's done such a great job with the S, R, and 312 for each bike's time. Considering they were on the brink of closing down 3 years ago, they deserve this Masterbike win.

So tell me something "WE" didn't already know.

Congratulations to the WHOLE MV family: designers, engineers, manufacture, business and enthusiasts.

We have known this TRUTH for awhile...so now will the masses.

cheers to YOU all :friday:
