Last time I did this ride Every biker got indiscriminatly pulled over into some guys field where they had what looked like the full size breatho tester on a ute like they have down at the station and about half a dozen police men with pads checking rego. I was not particularly impressed with having to queue for several minutes while awating an available policeman nor with having to u-turn the mv in some hilly little yard. Not sure what the hit rate would be on drunks at 8am but I guess they must catch a couple.

The breathalyzer was just an excuse, as I am sure you noticed they were not pulling over anyone in a car. What they were really doing was targeting motorcycles with aftermarket exhaust or any other modification that they could issue a ticket for. Just another excuse to target motorcyclists and raise some revenue.

They do that a lot now - all very discriminatory. Mt Mee sucks with the 'new' indicated speed restrictions.

I should count myself lucky, been pulled over for check and warning issued (mirrors) but no fine yet.

They were bar ends and apparently they were too small (something about 90 mm diameter), he told me to look up ADR. I thought it was quicker to put the stock mirrors back on and now I (occasionally) use the bar end as a mount for my camera so it hasn't been a complete waste of money.
