But moto2 and 3 are ok??
They are already there, since their testing was this week.....
but team members that weren't there can't go there now...so there are some teams that may have trouble getting packed out for the next race....which may also be cancelled (Thailand)...and a possibility that COTA in USA may not go either.

Then it doesn't matter if the USA is so short sighted that they are only showing less than half the races on NBC sports.channels.

They are talking about not letting Ferarri into Australia now for the first race in Formula 1.
Officials will cancel the race if that happens,so all forms of racing are being affected by the Chinese virus.

Heard that the Olympic games are at risk too.

2020 is turning out to be a pretty shitty year for sport and travel.

He put in a good ride...shame he got swallowed up in the final laps for a 4th place finish. Still, very pleased to see Joe finally riding to his capability. Having the Hopper as a coach probably helps.
Can't wait to see his reception at COTA !!!

Looks like the entire 2020 year is going to be cancelled.

Birthdays
Easter
Vacations & Travel
Gym
MotoGP and every other sport (think even the Olympics)

What a shit storm and I haven't even mentioned the crashed stock markets, failing businesses, retrenchments, viral infections and deaths.Global recession imminent.

All because ling ling insisted on eating bats and endangered pangolins.

In my area, Phila suburbs they are saying this virus wont start to turn around for roughly 6 months. By then they predict 50% of population will have caught the Corona Virus . FYI this is predictions for Phila and Pittsburg area .

I wouldn't say that those in the medical profession are clueless as this is not the first virus we have encountered.

I think its common knowledge that there is no cure for a virus like there is antibiotics for bacteria like TB etc.

The issue is that a vaccine takes time to test and develop and due to the rapid transmission rate it is nearly impossible to contain the spread once. They estimate 12-18 months for the vaccine.

The current strategy is to flatten the curve which in effect assumes that everyone (or at least a large %) will get the virus, but at a slow enough rate that the medical system can keep up. This done through isolation and limiting gatherings and travel (ie cancelling MotoGP).

The real problem with that is that there might not be an economy left by that time. Airlines and travel will be the first victims. Everything else to follow.
