After some advice. This is my first winter with the SPR and I've noticed that when the engine is below 70 degrees celsius there is a metallic rattle at around 6000rpm. Original thoughts was that it might be a fairing vibration but after some test riding I noticed that the rattle seemed to go away if the bike was allowed to warm to 80 degrees celsius first.

Any idea what the cause of this could be and if its something I should be concerned about? Its regularly in the single digits in Canberra at the moment which means the engine temp when riding usually sits at around the 70 degree mark.

I suspect it will be either the header/collector joint vibrating or a baffle in the muffler vibrating. When the exhaust heats up it expands and stops rattling.
My 750 used to do it and was noticeable when warming up the engine before riding off.Didn't seem to do it once hot.

Sometimes this is caused by the exhaust springs?
