You'd think MV would get the message by now - pay more attention to quality control and vehicle integration and they could win these comparison tests. No, they'd rather introduce yet another model variant on a monthly basis. To me, their priorities are a bit off target.

You think there target right now is to strengthen the brand, make it more stable, hence all the new models with more to be announced at Milan later this year.
Once the dust has settled and they have freshened up the range we could see new MV with more resources. The triple engine and ride by wire is all still so new to them, once they get there heads around it then surely all the issue with the B3/F3 will be resolved. They are still finding there feet but I think it looking very good for them. Small company + Italian = (very)slow progress.

I read the test and thought it has a familiar theme to it.

MV are selling a bike for use on the road, not the track, they have to be 'rideable' for normal use and you shouldn't have to spend a small fortune to make it so or wait for Map updates. Its a real pity that basics are spoiling the headlines for what are radically refreshing new bikes. I spent a small fortune sorting out the fueling on my 1090, I won't do it again meaning when I change it the bike it will only be for a bike that I can ride slowly if I so desire...as well as quickly :)

What a shame, just read the article, wins hands down at the track and the same familiar story on the road,

Before you read an MCN test, have a quick look at their list of long term test bikes which the manufacturers kindly give them for free, if your bike doesn't feature there then its a pretty safe bet it won't do so well in the test, or if it does then they'll find some reason to make their "chosen" winner top it?
So whats the senior editors freebie this year? Oh its a GSXR 750

I think that Chad guy at the end of the video summed it up perfectly, the GSXR will do everything very well but it lacks emotion, character, sound and feeling and that is what you want from a bike like that. The verdict at the end of the article doesn't make sense to me either? He says if you were lucky enough to own one you would overlook any failings of the MV for its pure handling, sound, feel and look of the think but he them dumps it in last place?
And to say you can't overlook the oil smoke on the prolonged run.......err yes you can, it was faultless on road and track and so how often do you run a bike flat out for 8 miles? Its a bit like saying don't buy a Ducati 916 because as your into your 3rd mile on the back wheel it will stave the engine of oil and dump it all over your foot.

I just get the feeling that if I bought a GSXR 750 I would always be wondering if I bought the right bike? Not a feeling I think i'd have If i bought an F800 or an 848 for that matter, well aside from the fact i'd think maybe I should have bought the B800 but then i might be just a tiny bit biased on that

I got the feeling that they all liked the F3 and would have chosen that as the winner but unknown forces(editor) told them otherwise.

I never could understand why they always dish out on the F3 when it is build strictly for track days.
and was never really meant for the street light to light riding but for mountain roads and twisties of any kind.

+ i think they dished out way to many negative comments regarding the oil leak on the bike...

What a contradictions...

Well... I would not even consider the GSXR over the F3. Not even in my wildest dreams... which would then be a nightmare...
