Hello all,

Some months back I installed the FM PROJECTS slip on exhaust on my 2019 Brutale 800. The exhaust looks amazing and sounds amazing, it's pretty unreal the joy I get from it. My only gripe is the massive amount of pops on the deceleration. I absolutely love the sound of these pops after hard acceleration or a downshift, but sometimes is pretty excessive. My few thoughts on this at the moment are, 1. Will flashing the ECU potentially reduce the amount of backfire due to the bike running more efficiently? and 2. I may decide to switch to another slip on, how many are interested in a fairly new (~1,000 miles), but used FM PROJECTS exhaust? 3. If you are currently selling a slip on compatible with this model, please let me know.

Thanks a lot guys

sounds like there is a lot of unburned fuel. Mapping change may be needed

How does one tell the difference between a rich backfire and a lean backfire? From what I have read lean is BANG and rich is more of a plop, but I am still confused.
