Are Magnesium parts more susceptible to corrosion weakening them than alloys of aluminium..What I mean is if a mag part has a bit of paint scratched/chipped off it is this something critical to have touched in..

It oxidizes more like aluminum. It gets a film on it but doesn't really corrode. So clean magnesium is less of a concern. However, get salts or acids can consume it like hell. So keep it really clean.

If you’re referring to the magnesium Oro wheels, then it’s advisable to touch up any blemishes asap, because any paint chips or scratches on those buggers go off quicker than some butter left out in the sun..

Cheers Fella's..A bit of garage rash on the front wheel...hardly noticeable. unless you stop and stare looking for a blemish.I have a bit of paint to touch in.
