Just wanna say hello to all !!

Hello all, I've been to this forum many times in the past, yet at the time was owning Ducati 999. I've final got my 2006 F4-1000 along with RG3 pipes, Titanium mid pipe, power commander and new eprom chip. I traded in my old 999 well not that old for F4. I already knew the stock pipes wasn't for me so I just did that setup at purchase + the dearler gave me very good deal for everything altogether though. I also ride another Italian tiny pony Vespa GT 200 Green color to commute. :)
It's been almost two weeks since I've got my F4-1000 red silver.
So far I've done about 500 miles and I can say F4 is so much more poweful, feel little heavier than 999 in cornering. Riding position is about the same, aliitle higher than 999 but it's fine. Feel more heat coming up from the engine. Lookswise I can't compare MV to anything out there though!
But whenever I go out in the City (Manhattan), I take my little Green pony out, don't wanna deal with traffic and get myself tired fast. I hear some buzz around 4500-5000 RPM , that can be taken cared of easily. Other than that so far so good though. :)
I'll post pics soon.
Good to final join the forum as a owner.

Two totally different bikes but I'm happy with both.
Vepas's very convenient here in NYC. She actually goes 80mph

Welcome to the forum. Are the RG3's tips goldish bronze in color like that? I just purchased my bike about 3 weeks ago and ordered the RG3's last week. Can't wait to hear how it sounds in person.

Hi, TwoBit! my RG3 is goldish and obviously produce better sound than stock. I hear you still hear much better sound with stock pipes if you get rid of cat converter. From what i hear so far, it sounds better than stock and rouder. but not as loud as aftermarket pipes for Japanese Bikes or my old termi pipe on ducati.
RG3 may not produce the loud loud sound but it's just different. Enjoyable different~ :)

Hi Jonah,

Welcome to the the forum, and congratulations on your new bike.
She's a real beauty, and the MV's not bad either!
I too am an ex Ducati owner. I exchanged a 996 for my F4 1000.
The Ducati was a great bike, but the MV is in another league when it comes to power. Did you have the Power Commander and pipes fitted from new, or later. I would be interested to hear what differences you noticed with the Power Commander.

Best Regards

Hi there, I did put RG3 along with power commander, eprom, mid pipe from new. I did have a chance to take the bike out b4 they put it all together. Then again since the bike only had 1 mile its odometer I really did not wanna push it and see. Even now I do notice the deeper unique sound RG3 yet I just cannot push this bike to its limit yet!
I have 50 miles to go for the first 600 mile service. I'll then push the bike alittle and see that F4 can do. For now I just ride like a baby.
